Anglicare North Queensland
In 1985 the Anglican Diocese of North Queensland, established Cairns Anglican Youth Services (CAYS) on a volunteer basis through local parishes, which saw the opening of the first crisis accommodation for youth in Cairns.
In 1997, Anglicare Mackay and Whitsunday merged with Anglicare North Queensland to create an organisation with a capability to deliver community services across North Queensland.
Today the organisation is known as Anglicare North Queensland Limited and delivers 18 services across the Diocese. Anglicare North Queensland specialises in child safety, mental health and homelessness services including a number of government funded programs.
Donations and corporate sponsorships are valuable to support Anglicare and extend its ministry.

Anglicare Southern Queensland (formerly Spiritus Community Care)
Anglicare Southern Queensland is an agency of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane and concentrates the majority of its services in the southern part of the state of Queensland. This organisation however has a long standing and valuable presence in North Queensland in the provision of in home nursing care to the Aged and ancillary services from its Townsville office.

Disaster Relief
In the event of a natural disaster within North Queensland, the Anglican Diocese seeks to assist people and communities in a practical and compassionate manner.
