Torres Strait Islander Ministry

The Anglican Diocese of North Queensland includes the Torres Strait in its Diocesan boundaries and therefore includes important ministry with, among and to the Torres Strait Islander People; whether they live in theTorres Strait or elsewhere in the Diocese.

Bishop Keith Joseph currently oversees All Souls St Bartholomew Thursday Island Ministry Unit.

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Anglican Council (NATSIAC)

NATSIAC is established under the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia and formally represents the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the Church nationally. It assists in the provision of pastoral care as well as assists, encourages and resources Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ministries.
